Meta’s CFO Susan Li revealed that the new TBD Lab comprises just a “few dozen” highly skilled researchers and engineers—designed as a compact, talent-dense team. Operating under the broader Meta Superintelligence Labs, this unit focuses on developing next-generation foundational AI models over the next one to two years. The name “TBD Lab” originated as a placeholder but stuck due to the fluid nature of its mission.
