Whitehat Jr. fires 300 people as edtech carnage continues
<p>To continue restructuring costs and lowering cash burn, WhiteHat Jr, a platform to teach code and programming has let go of almost 300 full-time staff. The majority of the fired workers were from the sales and code-teaching departments of the corporation. At the company's office in Brazil, which Byju's entered last April as a part of its "Future School" program, 80 people lost employment. In August 2020, Byjus's purchased WhiteHat Jr. for $300M.</p>
