UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has given Big Tech companies three months to implement device-level software that automatically detects and blocks children from taking, sending, or receiving sexually explicit images. Speaking at London Tech Week, Starmer warned that if tech giants fail to activate these safeguards on British devices by default, the government will pass strict laws imposing heavy fines and potential criminal liability on company executives.
