AI Defense for Critical Infrastructure: Protecting Against Stuxnet
The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Georgia Tech Research Institute are using AI to protect US critical infrastructure from Stuxnet-like cyber attacks. Their five-year study applies artificial intelligence to secure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), the industrial computer systems that control electromechanical processes like gas valves and electrical breakers.
