Marko Elez, a staffer with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) at the U.S. Treasury, violated departmental policies by emailing a spreadsheet containing unencrypted personal information to two Trump administration officials. This incident occurred prior to Elez's resignation in early February, following the emergence of racist social media posts linked to him.
