FM Sitharaman Directs Banks to Strengthen Cybersecurity Amid Border Tensions

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman convened a high-level meeting with leaders of public and private sector banks and insurance companies to assess cybersecurity preparedness amid rising border tensions. Banks reported implementing anti-DDoS systems, conducting mock drills, and enhancing threat monitoring through Security Operations Centres. Sitharaman emphasized uninterrupted banking services, especially in border areas, and directed regular audits and coordination with security agencies.
