France Pushes to Unplug Teens with Under-15 Social Media Ban

French lawmakers are voting on legislation to ban children under 15 from social media platforms like TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram. Backed strongly by President Emmanuel Macron, the bill requires platforms to implement approved age verification systems. The law aims to curb screen addiction and mental health risks ahead of the September school year, also expanding smartphone bans in high schools while exempting educational resources.
