Game Over for Hackers: Nintendo Defies $2 Million Ransom Demand

The hacker group "ShadowByt3$" targeted Nintendo of America, demanding a $2 million ransom after allegedly stealing nearly 1GB of data. However, the breach only affected TinyPulse, a third-party platform used for internal employee surveys between 2016 and 2026. Nintendo confirmed its own internal servers remain secure and reassured players that no personal consumer data or financial information was compromised.
