Google has introduced an AI-driven scam detection feature to its Messages app, aiming to protect users from fraudulent texts. This on-device tool analyzes SMS, MMS, and RCS messages in real-time, alerting users to potential scams without compromising privacy. Initially available in English for the US, UK, and Canada, it focuses on mid-conversation social engineering tactics.
