Tim Cook Lobbies Against US Child Safety Bill Over Privacy
Apple CEO Tim Cook met with US House members to oppose federal legislation requiring app stores to verify users' ages for child online safety. Apple argues that the bill, aimed at preventing minors from accessing harmful content, would force the mass collection of personal information, thereby compromising the privacy of virtually all Apple users, including children.
