WhatsApp Introduces 'Private Processing' to Enhance AI Chat Privacy

WhatsApp has unveiled "Private Processing," a new feature designed to bolster user privacy during AI interactions. This optional system ensures that user data isn't stored or accessible by Meta, WhatsApp, or third parties after an AI session concludes. Utilizing Oblivious HTTP (OHTTP) via third-party relays, it separates user identity from request content, aligning with end-to-end encryption principles. The feature is set to roll out in the coming weeks.
