Rockwell Automation’s State of Smart Manufacturing report reveals that 61% of cybersecurity and IT professionals in manufacturing plan to adopt AI and machine learning for security within the next year—outpacing wider manufacturing by 12 percentage points. Cybersecurity now ranks as the second-most pressing external risk (30%), just behind economic conditions. Securing converged IT/OT environments, leveraging existing data, and strengthening cyber talent are key initiatives to stay ahead.
