Azul Sets a New Tempo for Java Security with Monthly Patches

Starting August 2026, Azul is shifting Java security updates from a quarterly to a monthly cadence across all LTS versions (Java 6 through 26). To combat AI-accelerated threats, Azul’s Critical Security Patch Updates (CSPUs) will deliver targeted, security-only fixes every third Tuesday—drastically shrinking vulnerability windows while preserving stability without regression risks.
