China has launched its first commercial insurance policy for invasive Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) surgery in Hangzhou. Backed by state insurer PICC and local government funding, the initiative aims to accelerate clinical adoption and commercialization, directly challenging Elon Musk’s Neuralink vision for mind-controlled medical treatments.
