Cars24 Lays Off 200 Employees, Tightens Hiring Amid Strategic Restructuring

Used car marketplace Cars24 has laid off approximately 200 employees across functions such as product and technology, citing underperforming projects and premature role additions. CEO Vikram Chopra described the move as a “specific, intentional reset,” assuring no further layoffs are planned. The company, which recently acquired automotive forum Team-BHP and ventured into new car sales, plans to adopt a more rigorous hiring approach moving forward .
