CERT-In Issues Urgent Warning on 'Shai-Hulud' Malware Targeting Indian Startups

India’s cybersecurity agency CERT-In has issued a high-severity alert about 'Shai-Hulud,' a Dune-inspired malware campaign targeting the npm ecosystem. The attack begins with phishing emails spoofing npm to steal developer credentials. Once compromised, attackers inject worm-like malware into over 500 npm packages, enabling unauthorized code execution and credential theft.
