CERT-In Warns of High-Risk Security Flaw in WhatsApp Desktop App

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has identified a critical vulnerability in WhatsApp's desktop application, stemming from misconfigurations between MIME types and file extensions. This flaw could allow attackers to execute arbitrary code via malicious attachments. Users operating versions prior to 2.2450.6 are advised to update immediately and exercise caution when opening files from untrusted sources.
