Ford Shifts Strategy to EREV F-150 and Battery Storage

Ford is discontinuing the all-electric F-150 Lightning, replacing it with a next-generation Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) variant that offers a 700+ mile range. Amid waning EV demand, Ford is also pivoting to launch a new, high-growth battery energy storage business, repurposing its Kentucky battery plant to manufacture systems for power grids and data centers.
