Goa’s “Drone Didis” Empower Women with Tech Skills Through Grassroots Training

Under Goa’s Seva Pakhwada campaign, nearly 30 women—dubbed “Drone Didis”—were trained in drone operations for agriculture and service sectors. The event also honored “Lakhpati Didis,” women-led startups and self-help groups running Common Service Centres. Goa’s IT and Tourism Minister emphasised using tech to empower communities beyond coastal tourist areas via initiatives like “Goa Beyond Beaches.”
