Hike to Shut Down After India Bans Real-Money Gaming

Hike, the 13-year-old startup led by Kavin Bharti Mittal, is shutting down operations permanently following India’s ban on real-money gaming. Although its U.S. business launched nine months ago and showed promise, scaling globally now requires a “full recap,” which Mittal says isn’t the best use of capital or time.
