India Steps Up Domestic Chip Manufacturing With $13 Billion Semiconductor Mission

India has launched the $13 billion Semicon 2.0 mission to strengthen domestic chip manufacturing and design. The initiative expands support across the semiconductor supply chain, including fabrication, equipment, materials, R&D and workforce development, aiming to reduce import dependence and position India as a major global semiconductor hub.
