Indian Government Opens Lower 6 GHz Band for License-Free Wi-Fi Networks

The Department of Telecommunications has officially cleared the lower 6 GHz band for license-free use, paving the way for significantly faster Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 speeds. This strategic move aims to boost indoor connectivity and support the growing demand for high-bandwidth applications like AR/VR and 8K streaming.
