Japan’s ISC Plans December Test of Reusable Rocket in U.S., Aiming for 2028 Orbital Launch

Tokyo-based startup Innovative Space Carrier (ISC) announced plans to conduct a 100-meter flight and landing test of its ASCA 1.0 reusable rocket at Spaceport America in New Mexico this December. Powered by Ursa Major's Hadley engine, the test marks a step toward ISC's goal of developing an orbital launch vehicle by 2028 to support Japan's growing satellite industry. ISC has secured government subsidies and partnerships to advance its ambitions.
