L&T Eyes Electronics Manufacturing, Seeks Land Near Chennai
Engineering giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is exploring entry into the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) sector. The firm is reportedly in talks with the Tamil Nadu government for 200 acres near Chennai to build an integrated manufacturing facility. L&T's focus will likely be on components for its defence, aerospace, and industrial businesses, aiming to establish end-to-end capabilities, following the successful model seen in the Tata Group.
