Missed Exam Led Nilekani to Co-Found Infosys

Nandan Nilekani revealed that missing his Indian Institute of Management (IIM) entrance exam due to illness proved to be a career-defining moment. Unsure of his next step, he joined Patni Computer Systems, where he met future partner N. R. Narayana Murthy. Murthy's vision led the group to start Infosys in 1981, a decision Nilekani is now "glad" he made instead of pursuing an MBA.
