Nvidia Faces November Trial Over Allegedly Stolen Autonomous-Driving Code

Nvidia must stand trial in November after a U.S. federal judge found sufficient circumstantial evidence that the company benefitted from autonomous-driving trade secrets allegedly taken by a former Valeo engineer. During a 2021 video conference, the engineer unintentionally revealed stolen code. The court noted Nvidia’s rapid progress in parking technology using features mirroring Valeo’s files. Nvidia denies wrongdoing, claiming all work by the engineer was revoked.
