OpenAI's robotics head resigns over 'rushed' deal with Pentagon

Caitlin Kalinowski, head of robotics at OpenAI, has resigned over the company's deal with the US Pentagon. The deal was "rushed without the guardrails defined", Kalinowski said. "AI has an important role in national security. But surveillance of Americans without judicial oversight and lethal autonomy without human authorisation are lines that deserved more deliberation than they got," she added.
