PNNL Joins Space ISAC to Bolster Global Space Security with Nuclear & Cyber Expertise

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) has become the first national lab to join Space ISAC, a consortium focused on space threat intelligence. PNNL brings decades of nuclear energy, propulsion, and cybersecurity know-how to help protect Earth’s increasingly crowded orbit. It will support work on space power systems, radiation effects, risk assessment, legal frameworks, and cyber-security for satellites, launch vehicles, and other space technologies.
