Amid slowing electric vehicle (EV) demand, LG Energy Solution is shifting its North American manufacturing focus to Energy Storage Systems (ESS) to power AI data centers. Five of its eight regional factories will produce lithium iron phosphate (LFP) storage batteries by late 2026, tapping into an unexpected market boom and supplying key clients, including Tesla and local utilities.
