Scale AI Files Espionage Lawsuit Over Trade Secrets

Scale AI has filed a lawsuit against former sales executive Eugene Ling and rival startup Mercor, accusing them of stealing over 100 confidential documents related to customer strategies. The complaint alleges Ling attempted to pitch Mercor to one of Scale’s largest clients while still employed there. Mercor denies accessing Scale’s data, citing Ling’s personal Google Drive, and has offered remediation.
