Six is the Magic Number for NASA's Ideal Moon Base

A new study using computational simulations from George Mason University suggests that six astronauts is the perfect crew size for a permanent moon base. Researchers found that this specific group size, paired with regular resupply missions from Earth every two weeks, maximizes productivity and mission safety. In contrast, smaller crews of four suffered drastic productivity drops, managing to complete only 20% of their tasks.
