Starcloud to Orbit: NVIDIA H100 GPU Heads to Space
Starcloud, an NVIDIA Inception startup, is pioneering space-based data centers to meet rising AI demands and reduce environmental impact. The company plans to launch its Starcloud-1 satellite in November, marking the first cosmic deployment of a datacenter-class NVIDIA H100 GPU. This initiative is expected to offer a tenfold reduction in energy costs and eliminate the need for water cooling by using the vacuum of space as a heat sink.
