Tech Hiring Flat for 7 Quarters as AI & Cloud Skills Propel GCC and Non-IT Demand
Hiring in India’s IT services sector has remained flat for six to seven quarters, with demand shifting to global capability centres (GCCs) and non-IT industries. Quess Corp reports 73% of staffing requests now target AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity roles—averaging ₹1.25 lakh wages and 15–18% margins. Its professional staffing vertical posted ₹244 crore revenue (10.2% margin), offsetting stagnant general staffing and a 50% drop in digital platforms.
