US Senators Demand Meta Hand Over Internal Kids’ Safety Data
A bipartisan group of 10 U.S. senators, led by Marsha Blackburn, has demanded that Meta deliver internal studies on how its products—especially VR platforms—affect children, alongside data on how well parental controls work. The call comes after whistleblowers alleged that Meta suppressed research showing underage exposure to explicit content. Senators including Chuck Grassley and Richard Durbin criticized Meta’s safety tools.
