Billionaire Investor Blames Amazon's Layoffs on "Bloated" DEI Hiring

Venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya rejected Amazon CEO Andy Jassy's AI-driven layoff narrative, stating the company's job cuts are "not AI job loss." Palihapitiya claimed the 30,000 corporate layoffs are the "unwinding of the DEI-fueled Hiring Bonanza" that resulted in a "bloated and inefficient" workforce.
