Deepgram Acquires Daily, Creator of Pipecat, to Strengthen Its Real-Time Voice AI Infrastructure

Deepgram has acquired Daily, the company behind Pipecat, a popular open-source framework for building real-time voice and video AI agents. The acquisition will help Deepgram combine its speech models with Daily’s communication infrastructure and Pipecat’s orchestration technology to build more reliable, low-latency AI agents. The deal amount remains undisclosed. Pipecat will remain open-source and vendor-neutral, allowing developers to use models from different providers.
