Google Launches Gemini 3.8 Live Models for Smarter Real-Time Voice AI

Google has launched Gemini 3.8 Live and Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking, new audio models designed for real-time voice AI. They can perform tool and API calls while continuing conversations, understand visual context, and handle complex multi-step reasoning. The models support 97+ languages and are aimed at developers building enterprise voice agents, customer-service bots, and other conversational applications.
