Meta AI Chief Warns of Humanoid Robot 'Bubble'
Yann LeCun, Meta’s Chief AI Scientist, warned that the surge of humanoid robot startups is a bubble because they lack the necessary intelligence. He argued that these companies are focused on hardware but are missing the major AI breakthroughs needed to make the robots "generally useful." LeCun believes progress depends on developing "world model" planning architectures that can learn from high-bandwidth sensory data like video.
