US Blacklists Chinese AI Fund Over Stolen Google Secrets

The US State Department has blacklisted prominent Chinese venture capital firm MiraclePlus, founded by ex-Microsoft AI scientist Lu Qi, and Shanghai Zhisuan Technology. The sanctions target the incubator for funding Zhisuan, a startup created by a former Google engineer recently convicted for stealing proprietary AI trade secrets. The penalties could freeze US-based assets and impose severe banking restrictions.
