India’s Draft Telecom Policy (NTP‑25) Aims to Power 6G, AI & IoT Innovation by 2030
The draft National Telecom Policy 2025 (NTP‑25), open for public consultation from July 23, outlines India’s vision to become a global innovation hub for next-gen technologies such as 6G, AI, IoT, quantum and satellite communications. It targets universal 4G coverage by 2030, 90% 5G reach, ₹1 lakh crore annual infrastructure investment, one million new jobs, doubling telecom exports, and increasing fibre connectivity and public Wi‑Fi access nationwide.
