OpenAI Buys Statsig for $1.1B, Names Founder as CTO of Applications
OpenAI has acquired product-testing startup Statsig in an all-stock deal worth approximately $1.1 billion, one of its largest acquisitions to date. The founder and CEO of Statsig, Vijaye Raji, has been appointed Chief Technology Officer of Applications, overseeing engineering for ChatGPT, Codex, and other app infrastructure, reporting directly to Fidji Simo. The acquisition promises to boost feature experimentation capabilities and comes alongside broader leadership restructuring.
