Orbital Tow Truck: Private Spacecraft Launches to Rescue Sinking NASA Telescope

NASA has successfully launched a $30 million rescue mission to save its aging, 22-year-old Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory from burning up in Earth's atmosphere. Deployed mid-air from a Pegasus XL rocket, Katalyst Space Technologies’ robotic LINK spacecraft is now en route to intercept the engine-less space telescope. LINK will use three robotic arms to grapple the observatory and boost it to a higher, stable orbit.
