Sovereign AI Surge: Nvidia Injects $1 Billion into South Korea’s Naver

Shares of South Korean internet giant Naver surged over 10% after Nvidia agreed to acquire a $1 billion stake (4.5%) via new share placement. The deal forms part of a broader $10 billion project alongside Brookfield Asset Management to scale Naver’s AI data center infrastructure from 55MW up to 1GW, powering sovereign AI initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region.
