Canada: Meta Bets $13 Billion on Massive Northern AI Data Center

Meta is breaking ground on its first Canadian data center, a massive one-gigawatt facility in Sturgeon County, Alberta. Optimizing for heavy artificial intelligence workloads, the tech giant will invest over CAD $13 billion into the project. The eco-conscious build features an advanced "dry cooling" closed-loop system to completely eliminate operational water waste, while creating roughly 3,300 local construction and long-term tech jobs.
