Meta in the Hot Seat: India Chief Named in Police Probe

Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police registered an FIR against Meta India head Arun Srinivas alongside several social media users. The case follows complaints by BJP supporters alleging that AI-generated, digitally manipulated, and derogatory videos targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi were circulated on Facebook and Instagram during student-led exam leak protests, violating provisions of the IT Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
