NTA Pulls the Plug on Telegram to Prevent Paper Leaks

India has temporarily blocked Telegram nationwide until June 22 to halt cheating syndicates ahead of the high-stakes NEET-UG medical entrance re-examination. Authorities found that fraudsters were selling fake exam papers for lakhs of rupees. Crucially, the government has also ordered Telegram to disable its message-editing tool to stop scammers from backdating leaked documents and fabricating false proof of pre-exam leaks.
