Green Card Freeze Looming: US May Pause EB-1 Visas for Indian Applicants Soon

The US Department of State warned that the EB-1 Green Card category for India could become temporarily "unavailable" in the coming weeks. High demand is pushing India close to its annual pro-rated limit. If reached before Fiscal Year 2024 ends on September 30, visa issuances will pause until October 1, 2024, when the new fiscal year's annual cap resets.
