Deepinder Goyal’s LAT Aerospace Seeks Engineers to Build India’s First Indigenous Jet Engines

Deepinder Goyal, co‑founder of Zomato, has called for engineers to join LAT Aerospace’s new Bengaluru research centre focused on designing India’s first fully indigenous gas turbine engines. The startup—a collaboration with former Zomato COO Surobhi Das—aims to create lightweight, efficient turbines for STOL aircraft and UAVs using hands‑on, engineer‑led R&D without bureaucratic barriers. Goyal has invested $20 million, positioning LAT to lead India’s self‑reliance push in aerospace propulsion.
