Irregular Secures $80M Funding at $450M Valuation to Bolster Frontier AI Model Security
AI security startup Irregular (formerly Pattern Labs) raised $80 million in a funding round led by Sequoia Capital and Redpoint Ventures, valuing it at approx $450 million.
The firm develops tools like SOLVE, a framework for spotting vulnerabilities in AI models, and builds simulations where AI plays both attacker and defender to preempt emergent threats. It’s already involved in evaluating models like Claude 3.7 Sonnet and OpenAI’s o3 and o4-mini.
