Allianz Life Confirms Hack Exposed Personal Data on Majority of Its 1.4M U.S. Customers
Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America suffered a major breach on July 16, 2025, when a hacker used social engineering to exploit a third-party, cloud-based CRM system and access personally identifiable data of most of its 1.4 million U.S. customers, as well as financial professionals and select employees. Allianz confirmed its own systems were not breached, notified the FBI, and will offer affected individuals 24-month identity theft protection and credit monitoring.
